The Land & LakeAt almost 4 miles in length and with 19 miles of shoreline, the Green River Reservoir is the largest lake in Vermont exclusively for paddling, sailing and small electric motor trolling. Ondine is one of only four private residences with waterfront access. There will never be another private home constructed on the lake. Surrounding the reservoir is the 5,500 acre Green River Reservoir State Park, a protected home to wildlife that features camping and paddling, all hidden away in Vermont's northern woods. This secluded splendor is a family oasis in the woods, made magical by the pristine nature all around. Hence its name, Ondine: A mythical woodland water spirit. In addition to the placid waters, there are hiking and cross-country skiing trails accessible directly from the property, as well as a 20-acre field and horseback riding trails directly adjacent to the property. Adjacent to the newly constructed reflecting pond is a cleared site, perfectly sized and ready to accommodate a tennis court or hockey rink. Additionally, the property features: a 32 foot long boat house with bay door and 32 foot long deck to accommodate a two man racing shell (see photos); a barn with 3 bay doors; a shed with a bay door. There is also a small beach, boat launch, and 2 lane outdoor pistol range. |
